Hey darling
Where have you been?
I know you’ve been crying.
She walks down to the river
and holds her head in her hands.
Hey darling,
Why’ve you been crying?
I know you’ve been seeing
The spiders at night,
Up in the trees
Where they sleep
with the birds
and the bees
And I know that you’ve been aching
To see what we’ve been making.
She walks down to the river
and holds her head in her hands.
She stares into the water
and sees her reflection dance.
And It’s dancing for me
And it’s dancing for you
But it’s dancing for everyone else in the room
And it watches as I breathe…
And it all is coming back to me…
She crept down to the river to hold her head in her hands
In the light of the full moon she watched her reflection dance
She leapt into the water and felt her blood run cold
She destroyed everything in this world she could control
Breathe in, breathe out.
